I haven't seen enough of this to rate it.

This ran for 9 seasons, from 1971-79... so it's a bit before my time. It's a classic sitcom (but not quite old enough for me to put it in the "classics" category), so of course I've seen some reruns. But not nearly the whole series, surely not in anything like proper order, and... I guess I don't remember any specific episodes. But anyway, it was about this guy named Archie Bunker, who was a fairly closed-minded bigot, who didn't treat anyone very well, including his own family... but it was somehow clear that he loved them, anyway. And he wasn't like a really bad bigot... all he really did was rant, and his rants didn't always make much sense. Which is where a lot of the show's humor came from, I guess. But at least he didn't seem like the kind of guy who'd go out and do anything to actually hurt the people he ranted about. Um... he had a wife named Edith, who was a bit ditzy, but probably smarter than him; she just usually acted like Archie was right, even when he wasn't. They had a much more liberal daughter named Gloria, who married a a very liberal guy named Michael Stivic. Archie and Michael argued almost constantly. And that's all I can say, except that I kind of liked the theme song (sung by Archie and Edith), and the show had several spin-offs (including The Jeffersons, a show I barely remember watching), and... I dunno, I guess I'd like to see the show again sometime (both "All in the Family" and "The Jeffersons").
