This was created by Rupert Holmes, best known for the Piņa Colada Song. It was set in a radio station in Pittsburgh in like the late 30s/early 40s. We got to see them doing a bit of their on-air dramas and so forth, mixing advertising into the stories, as was done back in the day. We got to see their relationships, friendships, whatever, with one another. The show... was zany and inspired and hilarious and brilliant and sometimes quite touching, and usually too much fun to bear. It's just too good for words, and I miss it a great deal. I really hope to get it on DVD eventually, write up a proper review.
It was eventually replaced by another AMC series, The Lot (IMDb; TV.com; Wikipedia). Originally I think that was just four episodes, which I saw a few years back. I didn't like it as much as Remember WENN, but it was okay. It seems the show continued, but I didn't get a chance to see it.
