I don't remember this well enough to rate it.

I don't remember this as well as I'd like to, but I used to watch it all the time. It was about an American platoon during the Vietnam War. The main thing I remember about it is the theme song, "Paint It, Black," by the Rolling Stones. I also remember the characters singing the Animals' "We Gotta Get out of This Place." (I don't think I can ever hear either of those songs without thinking of this show.) Of course, the show featured plenty of other popular music of the day. As for the characters... I remember Sgt. Zeke Anderson, and Lt. Goldman, and I'm sure some of the others would seem familiar if I ever saw the show again. Which I would really, really love to do, someday. Because it was awesome. It's available on DVD, but unfortunately, it's one of those shows where they replace the music that originally aired on TV with other stuff, because the rights for the real songs would be too expensive. Which pisses me off. But... it probably won't stop me from eventually getting the series, anyway.
