The Adventures of Captain Zoom in Outer Space

Just basically your typical story where some guy plays a galactic adventuring hero on TV, but gets mistaken for the real thing by folks from another planet and transported there to try to help them overcome some oppressive enemy, or whatever. It's been done to death, really. Okay, at least it's been done a few times (it's pretty similar to the movie Galaxy Quest, though this aired a few years before that came out). Anyway, this movie was rather cheesy and stuff, but it was kinda funny. And Liz Vassey was in it, who we've always liked. Kinda liked this evil priestess Vesper, too. She originally worked for the main villain, Lord Vox, who was played by Ron Perlman. What else is there to say? Um... Zoom was this character an actor played on TV, seemed like the 50's or something, I forget. So, he's this sort of stereotypically vain actor, not alot of good qualities about him. But eventually he sort of tries to help out the folks who brought him to their world. Hmmm, also, Nichelle Nichols was in this movie. Dunno what else to say. But I wouldn't mind seeing it again sometime, possibly write up a better review....
