I don't remember this well enough to rate it.

The Bloodhound Gang, on PBS

This is something that aired as segments on the 1980s educational show 3-2-1 Contact, which aired five days a week. It was about a detective agency with some kids who worked for Mr. Bloodhound, who I don't recall ever seeing on the show. But the kids themselves would investigate mysteries, which would usually take at least a couple of episodes to solve. I don't remember any specific cases, but I find the show (and its theme song) quite nostalgic. I'd love to see the whole series again someday (but finding complete cases on YouTube seems difficult; you may find one episode of a case, but not the other episode). Someone should really release a DVD set someday.

Oh yeah, I should also mention that the band Bloodhound Gang named themselves after this show.
