This was based on a book by Madeleine L'Engle, which I've never read. But I do like some other books she wrote, so maybe I'll read this one, someday. I don't think I saw this when it first aired in 2002, but I'm not sure when I did see it. Anyway, these two sisters, Vicky and Suzy Austin, were staying with their grandfather for the summer I guess, and Vicky learned that she could talk to dolphins. Or something. Anyway, there's stuff like um, nets catching dolphins, that has to be dealt with. And other stuff. I don't remember it well enough. Sorry. Someday I should definitely rewatch this and write a proper review.

But I do want to mention that there were various stars who were familiar to me from other things. Vicky was played by Mischa Barton, Suzy was played by Scarlett Pomers, the grandfather was played by James Whitmore (whom I knew from Will Rogers' USA), and some other characters were played by Ryan Merriman and Jared Padalecki. So that was cool.
