Andy Williams: Merry Christmas - 17 Classic Christmas Songs
Amazon; Discogs

This came out in 1985, but of course it's a collection of songs that Williams recorded in the 1960s. And I'll tell you this: there are other Andy Williams Christmas CDs it would probably be easier for you to get a copy of, which would only have twelve songs each. It's so weird how I can't find many references online to this album even existing. It was released by Columbia Records, so I'm guessing I probably bought it from Columbia House music club. Maybe it was made especially for that club, I dunno. Anyway, I'm reviewing this in 2021.

1. White Christmas: Not bad.
2. Happy Holiday/The Holiday Season: Pretty decent.
3. It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year: Decent.
4. The Christmas Song: Eh.
5. The First Noel: Decent.
6. The Little Drummer Boy: Few artists can interest me in this song, and Williams isn't one of them, but at least it's not really bad.
7. Silent Night, Holy Night: It's okay, I guess.
8. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas: Not bad, but what's with the Medieval-sounding instrumentation in the background for the early part of the song?
9. Winter Wonderland: Not too bad. But just no, with the little bit of scatting at the end.
10. Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!: Not bad.
11. Do You Hear What I Hear?: It's okay.
12. Silver Bells: Not bad.
13. It Came Upon a Midnight Clear: Eh.
14. O' Little Town of Bethlehem: Not bad.
15. Hark! The Herald Angels Sing: Decent, I guess.
16. Oh Come All Ye Faithful: Eh.
17. Joy to the World: Eh.

Well, it's nice to listen to an album where all the songs are familiar; that doesn't always happen. And the whole thing is easy enough to listen to, probably because Williams was an easy listening singer. But that also means there's nothing to get excited about.
