Wikipedia says this movie received "mixed reviews", and skimming the three reviews that I include links to here, that definitely seems true. One of them is a very bad review, one of them is good, and another is in between. Personally I mostly enjoyed it, though not to any great degree. And there were things I disliked about it. But still, I'm glad to have seen it. And now I never need to see it again.

There are three scouts (it's unclear what kind of scouts exactly, but basically they're like Boy Scouts) named Ben, Carter, and Augie, who are sophomores in high school. Ben and Carter have been planning to quit the scouts for like the past few years, but have stayed for Augie's sake, because he's still heavily invested in scouting, and they feel bad for him because his dad died a couple years ago. Ben is actually somewhat reluctant to quit, it's mainly Carter who is the driving force behind that decision. But they're both reluctant to actually tell Augie they're quitting. Anyway, one day they go on a camping trip, but their scout leader (played by David Koechner) doesn't show up, because he's been zombified. Ben and Carter plan to sneak out after Augie falls asleep, to go to a secret party they'd been invited to by the boyfriend of Carter's sister, Kendall (Halston Sage, whom I failed to recognize), on whom Ben has a crush. But there are a few obstacles that prevent them from getting to the party, one of which is that they discover everyone in town has either been zombified or evacuated. The three boys are soon joined by a cocktail waitress named Denise, and all of them have to elude or fight off zombies throughout the film. Oh, and Carter has an irate neighbor played by Cloris Leachman, who becomes a zombie, as do her many cats.

Well, lots of other stuff goes on, and I don't want to get into much of it. There's some mildly amusing humor, and some things I didn't find amusing at all, and plenty of gore, and a decent battle once the scouts finally make it to the party. There's also a bit of nudity, and a super-stretchy zombie penis, and... I guess some halfway decent drama between the main characters. (But only halfway.) One thing I really didn't care for was Denise teaching Ben to kiss, and telling him to just walk up to Kendall and kiss her, which he eventually does. Of course, this being a movie, Kendall liked it, but in real life I think taking someone by surprise like that is unacceptable. And I guess I don't know what else to say.
