This came out in 1982. I first saw it on DVD in 2017. I think PG is far too mild a rating. It's quite possibly the most terrifying movie I've ever seen. I don't even want to try to summarize the plot. Um... there were a couple of sequels, and a remake, but I don't know if I'll ever see them. Anyway... it's... a good movie. A great movie. I mean, it's essential viewing if you want to be justified in claiming to know anything about the horror genre. That's something I probably would have said even before I saw it. At least, it's something I always knew I needed to see someday. But I had no idea. And... that's all I want to say.
