This 2022 short film was presented by Dust in 2023.

This is apparently a "prologue" for a planned feature film, but it's hard enough for me to believe this actually exists, let alone a full-length movie that's anything like this. It does give me similar vibes to some other short films I've seen, like Kung Fury or The Life and Death of Tommy Chaos & Stacey Danger, just in terms of sheer weirdness. It's kind of hard to describe the plot, but it's kind of a fantasy B-movie style of thing. There's a princess who wants to attain the power of eternal beauty, so she sends bounty hunters to capture some kind of elf who is the last of his kind, who has an elixir within his heart which would provide her with that power, if she drinks it. There's also a queen who I think wants to get the elixir to... restore her husband, who had been cursed to turn into a cat. Or whatever. But we don't see much of her, it's mainly about the princess who wants to be beautiful (and therefore worshiped) forever, giving her control of the kingdom. (I'm not sure if the queen is from a different kingdom or what.) Anyway... there's also a narrator. And various odd characters. And um... the visuals are all nuts. And part of the film is animated. I guess I enjoyed the surrealness of it all, but not as much as some other things that are similarly chaotic in nature.
