This is a 1997 film from Aardman Animations, the studio responsible for Wallace & Gromit, among other things. I first saw it in 2014, as a bonus feature on the DVD of the 2005 film Wallace & Gromit in the Curse of the Were-Rabbit.

Well, it's about this Vaudeville performer named Tiny, who trains dogs. And there's a guy named Arnold Hugh, who stars in movies, along with a woman named Daphne. Hugh uses Tiny's services as a dog trainer for his movies, but takes all the credit. The only one who knows the truth is Daphne, who doesn't like the way Hugh treats Tiny, but she doesn't say anything because she's concerned about her own career. And of course, the audiences don't care about Tiny's live performances anymore, since movies have become popular. And um... well, actually the film starts sometime later, then flashes back to... stuff that happened in the past... then resumes where it started, with a potentially deadly confrontation between Hugh and Tiny. And Daphne finally tries to help Tiny. And... meh, I don't know what to say. It's sort of an interesting film, I guess, but mostly it's just really weird.
