This 2016 short film was presented by Dust in 2017; re-released in 2024.
An accident has injured a young robot, and his battery is nearly dead. So his mother stays to watch over the dying boy, while his father goes to a temple or church or whatever, where a congregation of robots are led by a priest robot in worshiping "the Conductor," from whom all power flows. The injured robot's father begs for help for his son, but instead is banished, because the priest declares his son's loss of power to be some sort of transgression.
Beyond that, I don't want to spoil any of what happens, but it's a pretty well-made film with a really good dystopian story.
