This 2016 short film was presented by Dust in 2017; re-released in 2023.

The film takes place after "the Great Purge," in which "Purists" rid the world of all technology, which they consider sinful. But there are some android AI's living among them. The film focuses on a woman AI who a preacher named Gabriel has tied to a chair and rants against in his church, in front of a congregation. He knows there's another AI among the people of his community, and wants the woman to tell him who it is, otherwise he'll kill her. (I have to believe he'd killer her, either way.) Interspersed with scenes in the church are scenes the night before, with the woman locked away, and a man AI (whom we see in the congregation in the other scenes) visiting her. Anyway, I don't want to reveal more specific details of the plot, but it's a fairly familiar sort of story about various themes, including whether AI's can truly be "people," and all that that implies; as well as bigotry, especially among religious fundamentalists. So it can also be viewed as an allegory for pretty much any kind of real world bigotry. I thought the film was pretty well done, even if a bit predictable and as I said, familiar.
