A disturbing look at the possible future of conservative laws discouraging abortion. Before getting the procedure, a woman must experience a VR simulation of moments that are meant to be happy, throughout the life of her potential child. But the woman is more disturbed than happy, because it all feels wrong and manipulative. Which of course, it is. But the film is all too believable, considering the many ways some lawmakers try to discourage abortion in the present. I'm sure many pro-birth people could watch this film and think the VR experience is a good thing, rather than the horror it actually is. (I'm tempted to list this under "dystopian short films" instead of sci-fi.) But with the quote at the end, it's clearly a pro-choice film, and I'd say a powerful one.
