Andromeda (14:28)
Dust.tv; Emily Dean; IMDb; official website; YouTube

This 2018 short film was presented by Dust in 2023.

A young girl reads a myth about Andromeda to her nanny, an android called Andromeda (which is actually the name for this model of android, I guess, not unique to this one). Then we see a man with a deep-seated grudge against androids giving a ride to a technician who is going to investigate an Andromeda unit that has shown unusual readings. I guess this is many years after the first scene, and of course it's the same Andromeda unit we saw before.

Um... I don't really want to say any more about the plot, though I found it predictable. I thought the film was well made, and its quality probably deserves a higher rating than I've given it. My subjective enjoyment of the film was a bit lower than its objective quality, but I'm glad to have seen it.
