Bite Size Horror, on FOX
FOX; IMDb; Modern Horrors

This is a series of short films that I guess aired on TV (in October 2017) as commercials for various Mars candies, though the candy itself played no part in any of the films. I guess the films were just sponsored by the candies, or something. Anyway, I saw one on TV that was presented by M&M's, which said to go to FOX.com for more. And at the time, the website had a link to M&M's YouTube channel, but the channel didn't have the video. So I just bookmarked it and then looked at it maybe a couple weeks later, and it still didn't have the video. And there was, as far as I could tell, no longer anything about the films on Fox.com. So I started doing some googling, and found that video and two others on iSpot.tv, and sometime later I got to see a fourth. (There may be more forthcoming, I'm not sure.) Anyway, the films are all fairly decent. Nothing I'll necessarily find memorable, but other folks might, especially horror fans.

Edit: in 2019 I decided to move this page from my short films section to my newly-created microseries section. But then I decided not to... just yet. I discovered a page for the series on fox.com, which has embedded YouTube videos of each short film. I'm not sure if that page was added to the site sometime after I last looked a couple years ago, or if I simply failed to find it back then. Either way, I'm adding the link here now. I also discovered a page on Fox Digital that appears to have combined these four shorts along with several others into an anthology film, which I should definitely watch... but I don't think any of the other shorts actually aired on TV, so... I'll have to figure out what to do about them, whether to include them on this page whenever I get around to watching the film, or more likely, make a new page just for the film. But then I'd still have to rethink whether I need to keep this page. I dunno. Yet.

Floor 9.5 (1:59)
IMDb; iSpot.tv; YouTube

Presented by Skittles. A woman is taking the office building's elevator down to go home after staying late at work. The elevator gets stuck between floors nine and ten, and when the door opens, a man is standing in a dimly lit room with his back to her. He says he needs her help, and she tries to give it, but she really shouldn't have.

Live Bait (1:59)
IMDb; iSpot.tv; YouTube

Presented by Snickers. A man is out fishing on a lake. Suddenly, a beer can bobs up to the surface, and the man paddles his boat over to pick it up. He really shouldn't have, because damn it was obvious what was going to happen next.

The Replacement (2:00)
IMDb; iSpot.tv; YouTube

Presented by Starburst. A mom sends her young son outside to play while waiting for dinner to be ready. Looking through binoculars, the boy spies another boy in the distance, who is dressed just like him. Seen up closer, the other boy's face looks creepily distorted. (It's later revealed that he was wearing a mask; maybe that was supposed to be obvious all along, but I didn't realize it until it was removed. So I'm not really sure if it was meant to be obvious, and maybe my revealing that it was a mask constitutes a spoiler. If so I'm sorry.) Anyway... I dunno what else to tell you without spoiling the ending of the film. (Unlike the other films in this series, though, it really didn't seem to me like the outcome could have been prevented.)

The Road (2:00)
IMDb; iSpot.tv; YouTube

(This is the only one I saw on TV.) Presented by M&M's. Late one night, a father and his two daughters have driven out to the location of a local urban legend about a slain motorcyclist. They want to find out if the legend is true, but they really shouldn't have.
