This 2015 short film was presented by Dust in 2022.
The film is set in a world (or at least a city... or country... I'm not really sure) where color can be converted into energy, thus replacing fossil fuels, which had nearly destroyed the environment, I guess. It's always nice to see something replacing fossil fuels, IMO, but this turned dystopian because one company, Lumacorp, drains all the color from the world (or city, or whatever). I mean, people's skin is still in color, but pretty much everything else is gray, black, or white. People can be severely punished for hoarding color, I guess. And one employee of Lumacorp, a "desaturator" named Dan Warner, is secretly holding on to some colored pencils for his art. It seems like he could be killed for that, if Lumacorp finds out. And I don't really know what else to say. It's an interesting concept, and a well-made film.
