The Skeleton Dance (5:32)

This is a black & white "Silly Symphony" short, released in 1929; in fact, it's the very first short in that series. I probably saw it when I was a kid in the 1980s, on The Wonderful World of Disney or something. (At least part of it was included, colorized, in a couple of Disney's Halloween specials, in the opening and closing credits.) Anyway, I didn't particularly remember it from back then. I know I saw it on YouTube or something, many years later, and wasn't wowed by it. I watched it again on Disney+ in 2023, to write a little review. It's definitely a classic, but not something I can really manage to care much about. Still, it was worthy of being mentioned. There are various creatures in the short, like an owl, two fighting black cats, etc. But the main focus of the short are four skeletons who come out at night and dance in a graveyard, until the morning comes. The animation is quite good for its time, and there are decent visual gags. And it has great historical significance. So I feel bad about not liking it more than I do. But I just can't. As much as I recognize its quality, I just don't find it super amusing or anything.
