This is one of those movies that I watched on DVD, thought was okay, but just didn't feel any motivation to bother writing a review. Then some time later, I vaguely regretted that. I probably would have rated it higher than "meh" when I watched it, but not much higher. And now I don't remember it clearly and don't care about it. But I still felt like I should mention it, here. I won't say much of anything about the plot, but hey, at least there are some links, so you can check out other sites, if you want.

So... the main reason I wanted to see this is Elliot Page, who plays the daughter of the main character. Her uncle is played by Thomas Haden Church, whose work I also generally enjoy. As for the main character himself, Lawrence Wetherhold, he was played by Dennis Quaid. When I thought back to the movie, my first thought was that he'd been played by Paul Giamatti, but after I saw the truth online, I was like, "Oh yeah." And Sarah Jessica Parker played a doctor who treated Lawrence after he had an accident, and eventually started dating him. Um... Lawrence is a college professor, and a frustrated writer, and generally a miserable person. And... no one in the movie is particularly happy, as far as I recall. I dunno what else to say.
