Wendy

This 2017 short film was presented by Alter in 2019.

On Halloween, a girl named Wendy wants to go to a haunted house with her classmates. Unfortunately, she hasn't got a costume. She tries to make one, but her imaginary friends (a TV reporter named Nora and a man made of couch cushions named Kush) make fun of her. And her mom is no help. (She might be just sleeping, or for all we know she might be dead, considering Wendy can't wake her up.) I don't want to say how it ends, but I found the whole thing delightfully quirky, amusing, and absurd, and I really liked Wendy.
