This 1969 film is the tenth in the Godzilla series, though it's only the third Godzilla movie I've seen. (It came in a box set of DVDs a friend gave me.) But I don't really feel that I missed anything important from the movies I haven't seen. Except that Godzilla apparently has a son, now, who appeared in a couple of movies before this one. His name is Minilla (which at least in the English dub is pronounced "Minya"). Anyway... when this movie was originally released in the U.S., it was apparently called "Godzilla's Revenge," which is also what the DVD I have calls it, though that title bears absolutely no relation to the plot.
This is definitely a movie made for little kids, and I'd like to think that most kids in this day and age would recognize how bad it is. Maybe kids in the 60s were more easily entertained, though. Anyway... it's about a young boy named Ichiro, whose parents both have to work late, so he's home alone. Though there's a neighbor, or whatever, a toy inventor with whom Ichiro is friends, who looks in on him occasionally. Also, there's a gang of bullies who pick on Ichiro, the leader of which is called Gabara. But these are the tamest bullies I've ever seen; they barely seem to even qualify as bullies. But Ichiro is afraid of them, anyway.
So... he goes home, and dreams about travelling to Monster Island, where he is befriended by Minilla. The young monster has a bully of his own, also named Gabara, whom he is afraid to fight. But he has to learn to stand up for himself. Also, we see Godzilla have utterly random fights with a bunch of different monsters. (Presumably this is what is meant by "All Monsters Attack," though that title makes it sound like the movie should be much better than it is.) Meanwhile, in the real world, there are a pair of idiotic bank robbers, who eventually kidnap Ichiro, for idiotic reasons I won't even try to explain. But in the end, Ichiro escapes from them. And the next day, he stands up to the bullies. The end.
The dubbing was terrible, the acting sucked, the plot was bad, the humor was bad, the monsters were bad (and I guess the monster footage was mostly reused from earlier movies, which I haven't seen). I dunno what else to tell you. There's just really no point in watching this movie, but I did so to be completist, or whatever.
